It's pretty durable - aluminum housing, my friends plane landed on it by mistake and it withstood the scraping. Works well on electric planes, not so well on gas - too much vibration is transmitted to the camera, which gives you a shakey/wavey video. Other than that, I would recommend it. Good price and quality video with sound.

Very clear and fast frame rate. There isnt a jump in the video even the way I fly WOT most of the time, and its so cool to see what your plane is seeing. Its the best part of coming home from flying loading my vids and seeing what I cought. I also had a problem with a twitchy elevator servo and was able to mount this to see the elevator in flight. I feel alot better now that I know what my control surface is doing in the air at high speeds. TIP for the best battery life charge the day your going flying not the day before you will get a lot more record time this way, and while taking a break I plug my cell phone charger in my truck in it. Just make sure it 5v 1amp output, most are. Check out my onboard vids search vizzuleyes on youtube thats me. by the way you dont have to baby sit them just watch my F4F crash, nose dive with cam in the cockpit cought it all without a glitch.

Blue lights should flash - hold the large button down for a few seconds to start the recording. For still photos press the play button briefly to shoot, red led will flicker. - To use as USB move slide to Video, keep power off, and connect to PC via USB cable I ordered an 8GB SDHC card for mine which works fine! It'll record movies of up to 2.36GB and then saves to a new movie file when that limit is reached. The longest recording time from the battery so far is 103 minutes (charged overnight), saving two 2.36gb files and one at 149mb after which it switched itself off. The clip under the lens can be unscrewed from inside the unit to make it much smaller and flush mounted to a bracket. Image quality and colour is good and it adjusts the exposure and white point well. I had mine delivered to the UK and I received it about 6 days later, so good service as well.
