After the initial set up (which was really simple) I couldn't put the transmitter down. I paired this with a Turnigy 6000mah 65c 2s nano-tech and i wore out before the truck did. I simply did not have enough room to fully stretch the truck out, so I have no idea how fast it can go, but it is easily as fast, if not faster than my nitro touring car with a 2 speed. And it's quicker. I initially used the factory defaults, and quickly disabled the temp alarm. I believe it works progressively, as the truck would surge, and plateau in terms of power output, then surge again. This being my first brushless setup, I'm not sure if that's normal, but disabling the temp cutoff removed this "performance feature". I realize I'm doing this at my own perile, but i never had the ESC get hot to the touch, even with high speed fly-by's of approximately 800ft, one after the other. I quickly uncovered deficiencies in my suspension and chassis setup, that my previous brushed combo never shed light on. It was no slouch either, Speed Gems2 Garnet with a Novak Fusion esc. I hope it holds up. Really awesome setup for under $100.

Boy this system rocks , I'm using a 11.1 lipo battery.very fast brushless system with lots of options for different setup.but if you use a 11.1 lipo you need to supply the voltage to esc fan from the receiver . my car went about 50mph with the stock system , and now with the hobbywing b4 combo system about 65 to 70mph . its insane good luck!!!!

It makes me wonder how fast I can get it with gear changes?? I've had this combo for 3 months and it ROCKS. For the price, you just can't beat it!!

After I got some wire and some 4.0mm connectors(NOTE: The ones that come with the esc are 3.5mm connectors. I went with 4.0mm because the Tacon motors I have use them.) The esc and program card are just as good as the other 60A-SL that I have. I did get the upgraded .25a larger fan, and with a 11.1v battery is sounds like it could possibly take off. =) Helped with temps tremendously. The motor is a beast. Once I had the wire and connectors it was easy enough to attach them and it is too much for my Slash 4x4, well it's not but I have had better success with the Tacon 4000KV 3660-540L. It is a nice motor though, the quality is better so I'm going to save it.
