EXI CNC Metal Rotor Head Tail Rotor Assembly Combo Kit for ALL 450-size RC Helicoptersstar rating 5danAugust 29, 2011Bought for my T-rex 450SA. I already had the Align main rotor grips and swashplate, so I just used the other parts. I felt like the quality was good, though clearly not as good as Align. (You get what you pat for). The included bearings did not seem very good, so I used all of the Align bearings, though a couple Align parts that were bushed now have bearings. I also used the Align rotor head, the Align main/feathering shafts, the ALIGN tail belt, and the Align Tail shaft and aluminum center hub (for the tail blade grips) as I thought they were better quality. The helicopter feels much tighter now! It was DEFINITELY worth it! You won't find a better deal! I definitely recommend this as long as you are smart and use the best combination of EXI and ALIGN parts. Also, disassemble and re-loctite the metal-metal screws.

I agree with the other reviews, this head looked very nice and high quality...especially for the price! I just put it on, and when I spooled it up I had a lot of vibration and the heli rocked back and forward. I replaced the adjustable links with Align solid links (from my other head) and the heli flies like a dream. I still give this head 5 stars because I could have set it up using the existing links, but why waste the time when you can slap solid links on for a few bucks. My recommendation would be...buy this head, replace links, loctite all metal to metal, and enjoy. Hope this helps!

I bought this to have a spare head ready to go for fast crash repairs. I have a exi 450 pro. this head is actually based on the SE V2 head but dont let that sway you. I dropped it on my bird checked my pitch curves real quick and was up and flying. I Think I like this head better than my pro head actually since it does use the SE V2 head housing you need a 4mm x 51mm shaft the new sport and pro shaft is to long

I actually like this head better than the pro head and I think I will order another set to change out my whole pro head
