Alpha 450 (890kv) Brushless Motorstar rating 5Steven M.August 15, 2011Makes a sqauling noise like a bad bearing,but runs great.I lost the first one when I lost sight of it briefly.I run a 10.4 folding prop with an 1800 mah for about 20 to 30 min.It only gets warm.Can not be beat for the money.
Alpha 450 (890kv) Brushless Motorstar rating 4nick keenerAugust 7, 2011Ive have just got the package friday and when I open the alpha 450 motor the prop adapter was bent so I bent it back it was fine intill i took it out for a flight the motor works wonders but the shaft vibrated when I whent full power be for I could kill the power the shaft for the prop adapter broke. please fix this i just got it a few days ago and now its useless thank you but over all 4 stars would be a 5 but prop adapter broke
Alpha 450 (890kv) Brushless Motorstar rating 5agv0420July 11, 2011Great motor for the price; I have this motor in an E-Flite Taylorcraft 450 and it seems to have plenty of power for scale aerobatics. I also put together an E-Flite PT-19 for a friend and used the same motor.. he is very pleased with it. He thought he was going to have to spend $40 more on the E-Flite version. All in all, probably 25 flights between the two airplanes with no problems. I can't see spending the extra dollars for the E-Flite motors.

Alpha 450 (890kv) Brushless Motorstar rating 5Matt HFebruary 20, 2011This motor turns an apc 11x4.7 prop and pulls a 40oz plane with ease, flies at less than half throttle on 3s using an 1800mah 20c blue lipo, and a proton 18A esc, and seems to last over 10min on a battery. My wing loading is very low at around 5oz/ft so that plays a big role in throttle use, just something to keep in mind. Motor is only warm with this prop, but is probly in it's sweet spot i think, and I was amazed at the long run times with such a heavy model and small ish battery.
