I was buying the Traxxas 540 brushed motor for $30 before i discovered the info on You Tube about this 540 brushed motor for $5. I see no difference at all in performance, has the much needed wheely popping torque, i can not say enough good thing's about this motor, it's a great product at an even greater price.

540 Motor (Brushed)star rating 5SinCitySinnerOctober 8, 2011I can not say enough good thing'z about this motor, this is a great motor for the price, has very good torque for that wheelie popping action !!! Only problem is that it over heat'z, can only handle one Traxxas 3300 mah battery, then has to have kool down time for sure ??? The only other thing is the shaft where you mount the pinion gear is a bit too short, a bit tricky getting the pinion gear on. Other then that i will continue to buy this motor, hand'z down, best bang the buck !!!

I have specific cars just for the kids, still running brushed motors and tired of paying 26 dollars for the traxxas titan. These seem to be good motors with almost the same power as the titan. The only problem is the motor arm is short, so depending on the gearing you are running it is difficult to position the pinion gear to mesh right with the spur gear. Sometimes the pinion gear comes off because it just doesn't have enough shaft to grip on when in the right position. Had to run a smaller pinion. But it won't stop me from buying them at $5 a piece

540 Motor (Brushed)star rating 5DanApril 7, 2011Hobbypartz.com is awsome! this motor is not. Nothing like the titan motor very week. i would deff not recommend this motor. mine came with bullet connectors installed so maybe i got diffrent motors.... but my experience these motors are garbage.
540 Motor (Brushed)star rating 4MikeMarch 16, 2011This motor bolted right in. I had to solder wires with Bullet connectors on it but that's no big deal. The only thing I noticed is that the motor doesn't have the wheelie pulling torque that the Titan had but still just as fast on the top. I fried 1 of them already and I'm pretty sure the next one is going. They get very hot. For the price, you can't beat it. Just keep a few spares around.
