I have never had an issue with it shutting down or getting too hot. I do have a tendency to run a slightly larger ESC than I need to prevent that, and for the price there is no need not to have a little insurance.

It was super easy to program without the programming card and has worked really well. However with my Exceed Alpha 400 motor it gets a little too hot. After 4-5 minutes of flying it's thermal shutdown kicks in (which in itself is a very neat feature) I'm willing to bet if I relocated it to outside the heli chassis it will be just fine since 5 minutes is a long time to get too hot.

In my opinion, you can't beat this price; I just don't see what spending an extra $30 on the E-Flite version gets you...., somebody please tell me...
